Minn Kota.........repairs

Hey gang.

I just think I fried my minn Kota a few days ago when I plugged it in. A noticable puff of smoke came out of the main housing and I fear I may have blown the motherboard as nothing is working now........

First time I ever had a problem with this unit. I took it aprat as far a I wanted to and noticed a number of spidey casings in the internal systems, so just wondering if that caused a short out.

Anyone recommend a repair shop ?

I am in St. Catharines, so the closer the better.

I'd suggest calling Minnkota directly - speaking to one of their staff could be quick start to the right direction. And explanation of their repair process.

Could be an opportunity to upgrade? Yiu didn't state how old or model . . .
