Great!

I'm on the lake now. Just released 13 1/4" walleye.

Looking forward to your demonstration.

May have heard some thunder as adding this post . . .

Still using small knife...turn fish back upright onto its belly...
starting behind head on the one side slice along the back not too deeply with first slice so you can run along and stay close to the big first fin all and the way back to the smaller top fin on top at back of fish but just a bit past where butthole is...do other side....again not too deeply...

small knife still
...go back to first side you started on..
now carefully cut deeper...make a couple passes....following the first cut you made...
you are going to cut straight down until you feel bone..
this will get you all your back meat...again keep an eye on the bum hole...
Do other side the same...
this is finished fish to this point...

still small knife...turn fish back on side...start at front ...you have all your back meat... now you follow over the rib bones and try not to hit the guts...work your way back to just past butt hole and stop...
DO NOT do other side..!

Switch to BIG knife...!
fish is on its side...slip your knife under the chunk of meat you just trimmed..
feel your way to where you want to start by putting just enough pressure so small top fin and fin on bottom of fish just past bum hole will be your guide so your knife will slide right along the bone giving you every bit of meat leaving tail on fish..

Nice job drb.. I wanted to get out there on Friday but it did not work out. I'm keeping my eye on the weather through the weekdays as there would be less boat traffic so the next nice weekday I'm going to head to rice....hopefully stay all day and then the evening!!!! Cheers fishmagnet!!!
