So, I went out and purchased a couple of little bottle of gas additive from BPS this year. Purchased a pack with two little bottles that do 22 x2.

Used some in a tank of gas for my boat, it actually starts and runs nice so whether there was a difference I was never sure.

i had the other little bottle so decided to add it to the gas for my lawnmowers. I have a rider and a small pull, both take unmixed gas. i was having issues with the rider starting and thought I was due for a new battery. It just did not have the crank to get it started. Once started it was fine. I was always having to charge it before starting the mower.

AFter just one round of cutting my lawn, which is about 1.5 hours running the motor and parking it for a week it started like a car! No issues with the battery after all, just a dirty motor(?)
Since then I have used the whole tank and refilled and it is still starting like a dream.

A mercury dealer sold me Startron instead of quickleen which they dont even stock anymore. He says mercury rep recommends it?

I've also read alot of people really like Seafoam....I think I'll use both with every other tank...cover my bases!!

There was a post about a month ago about the differences between the two products. I went from Seaford to Star Tron.

Alas - Not much I can say yet - using so little gas with two new engines . . .

Happy to hear it worked for you.

It's done that for me for years now.

I have used both startron and sea foam but for different purposes. Sea foam to clean the fuel system and startron to counter act the ethanol in fuel. I was of the understanding that the sea foam and startron had different purposes in this respect? Either way they are both great products!
