I've spent the last 2 days fishing in the kawartha highlands at catchacoma and Mississauga lakes targeting smallies with some new trigger x plastics, caught 25 bass all from 1-2 pounds and lost a big probably 4 pounds largemouth beside the boat .. fish were caught on trigger x big bug and swimming twister tails

A buddy of mine has a cottage on catchacoma and I can tell you the fishing on that lake system sucks since the tornados hit back in 05. But ya got some OK ones eh I find you really gotta move around and work hard and just found perch just at the narrows (south side to the east)

Hmmm, after the Tornado there were soooo many trees down that have produced big bass consistently... for me at least

Glad to see you got into some bass on catchacoma. I was there earlier in the year when bass wasn't open. My girlfriend managed to get a laker from 75 feet off the new downriggers.

The lakes up there are known to hold so many small bass but nothing huge. But i have to say, they're in there! I remember when I was just 7 casting a tube off the dock and landing a monster 5 1/2 lb smally and it's still my pb. Every year 4 and 5 lbers are produced for me (except this year as work is interfereing.
