Watched video; I've never removed the bones from the tail end like that. Maybe I don't catch big enough fish, since I've never considered there are bones that far back...?
BTW, to make the Youtube video be a link, there are at least three ways:
1. Click the "http://" button just above the text box you're typing in. A small window will pop up asking for the URL; type or paste it in, press OK. A second window will pop up asking for some text to use as a "title"; this will be what everyone sees as the link (blue text, underlined). I suspect if you leave this blank then everyone see the URL itself(?)
2. Click the "YouTube" button just above the text box you're typing in. A small window will pop up asking for a link to the YouTube video; paste in the URL (https://yadayada.com) and click OK.
Neat thing about this method is everyone sees a YouTube player embedded in the page, and the video can be played inline with the messages.
3. Just type the word YOUTUBE between square brackets, then the URL, then /YOUTUBE between square brackets; this will be rendered the same as 2 (embedded video).

All this is usually true. Unfortunately there are a couple of issues that can cause issues at times. YOUTUBE likes to alter their URLs so that not all video links will imbed correctly and many mobile devices cannot play embedded videos. If you embed a video, please also include the direct link.

I do it much the same way, I find it faster and cleaner with perch and walleye to cut right through the rib cage and then remove it after. I also use 2 knives one for cutting off the fillet and one for removing the rib & Skin, Rapala blades are perfect for removing the rib, the curve on the blade is the difference, then I remove the skin.On big Lake Erie eye's cutting around the rib is a better method, the bigger fish have a tougher rib, unless you use an electric knife, I also zipper the small bones along the lateral line in the big fat erie eyes.

Canadadude...I relocated from the Niagara area...yeah those Lake Erie Walleyes can be monsters...they make the max slot of 50 cm here look like babies... Also used to fish the salmon derbies in Lake Ontario ... I am going to try doing the rib part your way next time...could use small kitchen shears to snip through them too... thanks for the tip...great idea
