Simcoe smallies

Thinking of fishing simcoe this weekend for some smallmouth, I have never done this before and some tips would be great, I've read the island shoals hold some good fish. Any idea where I should start looking for them this time of year and what structure? Thanks!

I would start by draggin some tubes off of some of the steep and deep shorelines of the lake. If you know the lake you'll know where I mean.
