Adam went out solo Friday night. I knew something was up when he banged on my door at dusk and shouted come down to the shore, quick. He was super excited and showed me a nice Smallie, definitely a new PB for him. He was going to release it but an Island friend, who loves to eat Bass, asked that we keep it for her, so he did. He had also caught a bunch of Perch, including several Jumbos and another smaller SMB. All fish were caught trolling a Crayfish patterned crank bait, not the same one as mentioned in his last report but similar. The Bass came in about 15 FOW, the Perch, somewhat less. And yes Chris (Lundman) he was using the Ambassadeur. That reel works well for him. Here’s a few pics.
This little guy was the first fish. It hit as soon as the lure hit the water.
One of the Perch, about 12 inches.
Adam’s new PB Smallie, just shy of 5 Lbs. Fish put up a good fight including headshakes.

Hey ThorahGuy, I am glad at least someone is catching perch. This year is my worst one. My old waypoints are not producing anything, only few small perch. I am looking from 16 to 40 FOW. What I am doing wrong?

On our part of the lake the fish have come back to spots that used to be good for many years but lately had been pretty darn poor. We are now getting Perch in 10 to 15 FOW. Beside weeds seems to be good. But like I said, that's here. I can't comment on elsewhere on the Lake except to say, it's like Real Estate, location, location, location.
