Thanks for the encouragement everyone; it just wasn't our day. I guess the stars weren't aligned properly

As Gord said, it wasn't our day but it was a nice day to be on the water and we had lots of time to chat and get to know each other better.

Tried the Grandpa Jim technique all day on at least one rod and that was the one that we hooked a fish on a silver/chartreuse Mooselook spoon. When we were dragging the balls on bottom I had a "floater" I made out of Styrofoam SM on the release clip cable, right up against the release clip. It seemed to work well and kept the spoons up out of the bottom debris.

At one point, I popped a rod to check it and there was something on the line. When I got the lure up to the boat there was a leadcore line on it. I pulled in 8 colors of leadcore only to be disappointed after all that work as there was no spoon or lure on the business end.

Here is an interesting picture I took. Why is this man hiding his head?

He was hiding his head so that he could see the computer screen out of the sun.

There could be many reasons. The right one shouldn't be too hard to guess. You beat me to it Ralph.

I'll have a couple of pics tomorrow, gonna crash soon.

As promised here’s a couple of pics.

Lines down shortly after 7:00 AM.

Thanks for doing this Ralph, I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It isn't always about the catching.

Enjoyed reading the report.

Best picture ever was the hiding from sun so that can use the laptop on boat. To me seems like years ago we used to do that - now we all have phones that have power adjustments for light . . .

Thanks!

You guys are the Ron McLean and Don Cherry of the fishing board, but do need some fashion help.
