I hope your motor turns up.. It is sad that we have to read and experience these things -- these days..
Also always great to see that good people step up to the plate and help out. Makes me smile to read about people who care..
Yes please keep the police bashing out, although I understand the intense emotions when it comes to such violations of ones property ie. stealing. One year my dad had his mini-van stolen from the driveway, was just getting out the door to go to work and nothing - an empty spot on the driveway where the van was... Called police and they didn't even show up, just wanted the details make model vin colour over the phone, and that's it.. My dad was livid, police said stolen cars was so common they no longer visit the scene of the crime.. So to make a long story short, city is getting bigger now, population is increasing and with that higher number of lowlife crooks around.. Very sad..
I am a lock up / security freak, I have chains on the motor, locks everywhere in the boat, hitch, tires and anything I can think of to secure.. When I stay over at a resort and such, I even remove my trolling motor using the quick release mount and stow it in the cabin. My friends think i'm nuts, but i grew up in Rexdale, if it wasn't bolted down it was gone.. Enough said...
I hate to see these changes in our suburbs and in cottage country..

I came home last night to find a 9.9 Johnson on my boat. Fired it up in the driveway and it's running well. I'm still not sure where it came from yet. I think it was my neighbor? Point is there are still a lot of good people out there.

That is great!!!! restores you faith in humanity!
as for Police, just like any other profession, there are good ones... and there are bad ones. Let just not generalize them and insult them as a whole! I can tell you one thing, when I am at work I dont have to worry about getting shot or stabbed or??? like our law enforcement does...
Having said that also.... if you steal from me and I catch you...... I better not finish that sentence
