Ice fishing for salmon, I know it's a bit soon but just wondered

I'm in Parry Sound and have caught all kinds of lakers in the winter, always wanted to try for salmon if the big water freezes safely. Just wondered if anyone else has ever had any luck for them through the ice. I'm sure they'd be one heck of a fight!

YES... And YES it was a H..l of a fight ... Caught five over the years through the ice ...No I won't tell you where

I have caught a my share at Owen Sound but last couple years really sucked. Westrivers right on the bottom and hold on. Fun fight with a short pole bring a hut cause if you get one you will have about 30 people around you

So westrivers on bottom are you jigging alot ?
