We found lots yesterday. The bait fish are in thick. So thick that we hooked into shinners while pulling up the perch as well. So you catch a perch and a minnow to re-bait. We kept a bunch of nice size but was tired by the end of fishing we let them all go as we did not want to clean fish. 2 hooks 2 fish almost every time. Not both perch tho.

Do you guys thin these smallies are near by?
yes a couple of smallies were landed as well. Was actually hoping they were perch when I had them on. Always fun having a smallie on the other end of the line with a 7 foot ultra line and 4 lbs test.

SMASHING THE PERCH RIGHT NOW GET OUT THERE! THEY ARE BITING!
Heading out in the morning with a buddy, what depth are you finding them in? Its my first season with a boat (its a small one but it counts) only ever fished for them on the ice.
Was planning on looking for smallies but all this talk of perch is making me hungry!
