Hello All, Was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing any issues with the new licencing system in place.
Situation; I have purchased the new outdoor card with 3 years sportfishing and 3 year small game hunting licence. The MNR has billed my Visa back in November. With a 20 day mail delivery. I still have no license.
MNR: Well the new system failed so if you are not fishing or hunting on or soon after January 1st, just wait for your licence to arrive. I called; of course the automated systems proceed to tell you it's an offence not to have your valid licence on you. Their other option was for me to drive to a Service Ontario Kioske pay $9.50 for a new card. Paid up front and to be rembursed later. to have a valid license if a CO checks me. What a bunch of BS; Considering I tried back in September to renew my licenses then. OH by the way I always have been within the law.

I know it's kind of a bad time of year to try and get hold of anyone, however, your member of parliament can usually work some miracles. Keep a copy of the Visa bill with you, I know kind of a PITA, but how else are you supposed to have proof...is in the proof when you have the proof..a.k.a. Jean Cretien, a.k.a. Creton, remember that idiot. I would take a chance, go fish, get tagged, call the newspapers and make the MNR look like a complete gang of posterior O rings. I'm sure any Judge would just have fun with them.
In addition, I remember when the PAL's cost money, took me over 10 months to get it sorted out.

onthemoney, I'd pay the $9.50 and just be lagal. The law IS the law and if charged, a judge can be in a real bad mood and take it out on you! Just the court fees on the whopping fine you could get would be more than the $9.50
Fisherman gave good advice. Call your MPP and even your MP if needed. Remind them you supported them (even if you didn't,,,WINK) and usually they'll make the required call to get things done as fast as the system allows.
I also doubt getting that $9.50 refund would be worth your time and aggrevation. Sorry to say, we're stuck with the "system".

I believe you can print a temporary license for free on the internet while you wait for the card / license to arrive in the mail. I used my temp on the lake one Jan and CO even checked me and I was ok.
I am fishing through the MNR website now, there used to be a link to re-print your temporary license but now I can't find it!! They seem to have changed the website.
Got to still be there somewhere, i'll keep fishing and paste the link/process when i find it..
