I dont mind walking, but i guess you could say im still a young gun. Aslong as were not trekkin like 3k lol, i plan to bring the wife since shes never been before. Figured this would be a perfect day for her first time.
JP whitefish ground is about 3 km. to me that is walkable.
K-Bay certain spots to walk to is about 2.5 km.
Cooks bay best perch fishing is about 1.5 km
Windermere is like 500 meters or could be less
Oro side is about 2km
to catch fish you gotta walk it if you don't have a quad or sled.
If anyone have a better idea where to go... Let's hear it. Or we can stand on shore and chat it up while we watch people bring in fish!

For guys that fear the long walk pulling gear.... I can help. Not with the walking... You still have to do that. I can pull your gear out to the area we fish. So you walk with ease.
Note: you still have to walk.
Last year last at certain spots there was full size trucks out. So maybe it will be the same coming.

Once the date and location set we could check if any operators would do transportation in and out for a fee....have to make it worth it for an operator..I think 10 dollars in and out per person would be good.. Just thinking this could help out some people...

Hi guys, I'm still a newbie but just throwing this out there. I'm in Parry Sound, not that much more of a drive than Windermere. There's TONS of parking at both the inner harbour ( perch, pike, good shallow water fishing) and at the salt docks on the big sound side of town( lakers, whitefish). Both areas have lots of fisherman literally 200-300 yards off shore every year and there's pretty good fishing all year at either location. Parry Sound has quite a few decent hotels/restaurants etc. and you don't need any ice transportation. Anyone with two feet and a heartbeat can get out for a fish here. You could set up a giant bbq at either parking spot and it's free parking year round. I know it may seem like a bit too far for a lot of members but it's only a one time thing and I'd bet a lot of you would like to try some new areas. Just my two cents.

So will we still have to walk??
Yes you still have to walk!
But it is much more fun walking without having to pull gear in snow. The bunch of walkers can chat it up for 3km to the spot! No holding hands plz!
