Hey guys, could use some advice. I typically am a troller by nature. Just wondering my best setup for drop shotting. Just recently got myself a boat that I actually feel comfortable enough heading out on the lake in cold weather and hoping to get after some smallies this weekend and maybe next considering the snow right now lol. If I run braid can I just put a floro litre with my drop shot setup? In fishin bass, how much litre do I need? or am I just over doing it and should I switch to a mono setup all together.
Appreciate your input, would love to here about your setups for drop shot. Don't need your secret spots i can take care of that myself. Lol Cheers

braid with floro leader is best. they are typically deep this time of year and you don't want the stretch interfering with sensitivity or hooksets. I recommend you attach the leader with a good swivel, drop shots will twist you up something fierce. Go with a 2-3' leader and experiment with the hook 1-2' above the weight. I like a nice medium action spinning rod with 10-12lb braid and an 8lb floro leader and a 1/4-1/2 oz weight depending on depth and wind. Best of luck out there!
