Perhaps that's because some have mastered the art of when and where.
They are in Simcoe but in numbers, who knows. Cook's Bay I have no experience with - if your going to attempt to fish for them start by reading where the exit points out of Simcoe are for them during the spring spawn, cause they use them on their return. The return becomes a good starting point.
ps: If we get some decent weather over the next couple weeks, I will target them. Little Rippers off planer boards/bottom bouncers pulling cranks not worms have worked for me. Speed - I have found anything over 2mph is a waste - slower is key. Depth - less than 30 feet now.........
