ATTENTION ALL 2015 BPS LAKE SIMCOE ANGLERS
It is with great regret that the 2015 BPS Lake Simcoe Open, slated for Saturday Oct 24, has been cancelled due to high wind warnings issued by Environment Canada and all other local weather networks. With utmost safety for anglers as top priority, members of the organizing committee considered all options but decided there was no viable alternative but to cancel the event for this year. Other possible dates were seriously considered however conflicts arose that prohibited holding the event on any of those days. This very difficult decision was made early in order to let anglers make alternate plans and save unnecessary expenses.
AFTER CAREFULL CONSIDERATION, FULL REFUNDS WILL NOW BE AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION FOR THOSE ANGLERS WHO DO NOT WISH TO HOLD THEIR SPOT FOR THE 2016 EVENT. PLEASE CONTACT MYSELF OR AURORA BASSMASTERS IF YOU WISH TO BE REFUNDED.
We are making every attempt to notify anglers as quickly as possible thru direct email and posting on social media and elsewhere, but we ask that you help us notify your fellow anglers of this decision.
Thank you
More details will be forthcoming on www.simcoeopen.com

Was the cancelation justified? Where I was - Kashagawigamog - winds weren't too bad. It was the threat of rain that brought boats off the water.

Thanks
