i would pick up these ice anchors and pitch the ones that came it. Much easier to put in and secure with these.

Can anyone give some brand name (and product name) in particular of this spray? Say something I can get from crappie tire or walmart or home deep pocket? I'd like to spray on my hut, too. Thanks.

Had mine for two years now and love it. It has been out in every type of weather and no problems. Practice getting it up and down before you use it and develop a plan for the real windy days. I pace off and put my anchors in first, attach the hut and then pop it up.

Safe ice can't come fast enough thats for sure!
I've put it up a couple tims now, cannot believe how easy it is. Takes literally 30 seconds to pop it up then another 60 seconds to secure the anchors. This hut is 8x8 with extended elbowroom and thermal material but only weighs 42lbs and packs into the bag so easily. Love it!

Ive had mine for 2 seasons and absolutely love it. I can set it up and take it down by myself without issues. I would recommend spraying it, i do. The first season i didnt, and ended up getting rained on. There wasnt any dripping, but the hut absorbed so much water that thing weighed like 300lbs by the end of the day, so because of that i spray. Its a great hut, i love it. No regrets. And yes i agree the mesh pockets are great. I usually have the heater setup underneath one of them so you can put your gloves etc in the mesh and have the heat from the heater warm them up/dry them out. I would also recommend that you grab a hanging light of some kind. I purchased a fan/light combo that works fantastic for circulating the heat and lighting up the entire hut when dark. Once you fish in your thermal, youl never want to go back. Youll never have condensation dripping on you ever again, you will still get it though as youl see at night time the onside of the walls will start to frost over, but nothing compared to a regular hut. Enjoy it my friend and treat it good, i plan to have mine for many years

Great tips! Thanks!

Tight lines!

Agreed, what i do is anchor down one side, pop open, and then do the next sixe. Anchors on the inside is KEY. I cant stress that enough. These are the anchors that will keep the hut on the ice. The outside anchors pretty much just hold the sides out

Use tent waterproofing.

At CTC is in the camping section..is the same stuff all around just different labels, Is just silicone spray.

i have been using same stuff on my huts as i do on the carpet of my boat.

Using a silicone spray on boat carpet- - does it leave the carpet slick or slippery? Just asking as it sounds like a good idea to protect it.

thx
