Those lures are amazingly realistic. I, too, would be interested in the brand and cost. The proof, though, will be in how well they catch fish! Thanks for sharing.

I am sorry I should give more details. I don't have them just saw them online today. They are from europe and don't know how they make them, fish skin or not but they are called Zelldo lures.

http://www.tomys-zelldo.com/ Looks like they're $20-$30 ?American? All hand crafted and hand painted. Looks cool. Still wish I could find info on those "Simcoe bug" style jigs.

If they have one at that price for a 16 inch I'll buy one and pretend it was taxidermied.

I believe it's a computer generated wrap that is probably laid on the body by hand then finished off, extremely realistic, but each bait seems to have the same scale pattern and imperfections, which leads me to believe some sort of wrap is used. Very nice baits, at $20-$30 to nice for the fish I catch hahahahaha

Actually, if you read the information on the website tayff414 provided, again http://www.tomys-zelldo.com/ 3 different 'painting' processes are used..... everything is 'handmade'....entire painting process takes 10 days....each lure is covered with 5 layers of clear, hard polyurethane resin. The photos on the website actually shows quite a bit of individuality in the scale color pattern on the same lures. The color scheme on each bait shows some distinct differences to all the others in the same line of baits. Amazing evolution in lure authenticity.....hence the cost.
