I saw these pictures today a 5lb 7oz perch. Why do european perch grow so big? Are they a different kind of perch than Canadian perch?

Imagine catching the Lake Simcoe limit on perch that size...you need a tow truck to get them home....

Thankyou I did not know they were different kind of perch in Europe. They looked the same to me just really big! Yes would be nice to replace our dink perch with these.
