For those who are unfamiliar with Rosseau and the Windermere area: The normal catch is small lakers---smaller than Simcoe but more plentiful. Overall, quite a different experience from Simcoe---- The walk out is very short, less exposed to wind, better scenery. We have seen a flock of turkeys and a small herd of deer wander out on the ice. As is the case everywhere, sometimes you get skunked. My friend Al and I were there 1 fine day 2 years back but were having little or any luck. Around 2 PM or so I suggested that since we weren't catching anything we might as well go home. He gave me a 1 word answer""Why"?
