> elite 4x set up for deeper inland lakes?

hey there fellow fisherpersons....
i have a lowrance elite 4x that i se primarily for ice fishing,but got a transum mount transducer for the summer

does any elite4x users fish for trout a lot in deeper inland lakes?and if so could you help me set up my finder for that specific application?id really appreciate it

So , you know it's the wrong transducer.
You obviously also know which transducer you should be using.

I'm sure you have already researched it enough to know exactly what you have to do.

there has to be different settings for different transducers and verticle vs trolling...i just dont know what they are

So, basically still same settings as on prior link/post.

200 for most part but sometimes you go to 83.

Or you can splitscreen and go 2 x or 4x if you wish..

You just need to decide manual depth or auto/

I prefer manual setting at 100 feet even if fishing 55-75 feet.

Keep tweeking your sensitivity until you see what you need to see.

Also depends on how transducer was mounted and where.....facing forward. level or slightly back.

In the end you need to get out on water and play with unit till it satifies your needs and get familiar with manuals.

BTW..we are mostly now in ice fishing mode..............
