Would you believe 5 years have gone by since Lake Simcoe Outdoors. Com hit the Internet in 2011, courtesy of Jerry.

I'm not sure which is the date the 9th or the 10th. The "Metalbuckle" join date shows as Feb. 9, I joined the 10th, so let's go with the 9th.

A great big THANK YOU to Jerry for creating this Forum and to the Moderators--Backwoodsmanbob, Bayliner, NSfisher and Thorah Guy for the jobs they do.
It is a great Forum, well run and certainly serves my needs as a fisherman.

It is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and to meet like minded people.

When I think back over the last 5 years, this is a list of the people I have met through exchanging PM's, going to the garage sales and attending the M&G's we have had. I would not have had the opportunity to meet any of them without the Forum and I have fished with many of them on various lakes and rivers.

The list is not in any particular order and I have doubtless forgotten some people. I apologize to those I have missed. Keep in mind I am 73.

Great Post Ralph. Yes, you joined the board/forum on Feb 10, 2011, as the 67th member, and I joined on the same day but as the 50th member, a bit ahead of you I am sure And I believe the board was created/up running the immediate day before on Feb 9, 2011. I have had the pleasure to ice fish with you quite a few times, with you and others as a group, on the occasion of this board's Meet & Greet, or with no one else but just you and me alone on ice!

And yes, big thanks to Jerry the Admin. The Italian team won this time I am sure.

Hey Ralph,
Thanks for all the nice words. Yes Jerry started the board on Feb 9th. I joined on the 11th as it was a breath of fresh air compared to the fishing boards at that time and still is. As you know I have fished with you on a couple of occasions and it has been a true pleasure. I have also met many members and made some great friends through this forum and hope to continue to do so.

" Lake Simcoe Outdoor Message Board " has been and is the greatest fishing web site I have ever seen. All Ontario Fishermen could talk and discuss about this heavenly sport in here.
Obviously opportunity of enjoying such a great fishing site would not have been possible without the efforts of the moderators. I thank them for creating such an opportunity for each angler.

I skimmed thru more than a few fishing forums before finding this one and calling it home. I havent been on another forum since feb 4th 2014 the day i joined. A great place to share stories, techniques, a few laughs and everything in between. Good stuff.

Yes I have to agree this is by far the best board around , lots of great info and people , not even close in comparison to other boards with all the crying going on there, this board rocks and the moderators here are the best around , keep up the best board out there. Looking forward to many more years here.
