Sorry for the hazy pictures. Im not to good on the computer editing video's as I am with the rod. But its been a goal of mine to capture a whitie and laker hitting. These pictures are off my computer screen. So far I have been fortunate to capture 8 lakers smashing the baits and over a dozen whities. I was targeting both species in depths shallower then 20ft. When you go onto the lake next time I hope you keep this in mind and think how many fish your walking over to get to deep water! If i can ever get the time off the lake to sit down and edit all the footage im sure it will be nothing short of epic. With the ice conditions we are forced with i hope this will shed some light on some missed oppurtunities you might have not gotten.

Sweet pics Xbend!!! This year was going to be my first attempt at running shallow for lakers and these pics are extremely encouraging. I've read that shallow water lakers smash the bait fast and hard and are a blast to catch!!

NICE!!!!

Awesome pics xbend! As always...

I saw a laker cruise past my hole when I was out perch fishing last weekend. I was shocked to say the least. Never expected to see one that shallow

Great pics man, and interesting that they are still shallow.

Gives an indication just much winter has NOT come to Simcow this year.
Is about the water temps and they must be quite comfortable right now.

i deffinately plan to hit shallower, as i am expecting some safe ice starting again in a not too distant future.
