I probably have 25 ice rods, running the gamut from UL to H, not all with reels. Swap reels around as needed. I usually carry 4 species specific rigs plus a tip up or 2. I usually only target the same species for a day, so I don't normally take my perch rods (or perch tackle) while laker /whitie fishing etc.
Don't even get in to open water. I've gone a bit overboard. 5 float rods 6 fly rods just to start. Now if I buy a new stick the wife won't notice! !!! It's easy to see 3 turn into 4, but not 40 to 41

I carry 4 for hard water
1 UL, 2L and 1 MH
My other half thinks I have too many rods combined at 10 for hard and soft water. I'm sure when I show her some of your replies she'll appreciate how much money I am saving us.....hahahha!

8 ice rods, 6 soft water, a couple just for trolling, 3 tip-ups. I use them all, all have been great for their respective target fish, and a few surprises, like hooking into musky when i'm fishing for panfish with my UL.
