The only reason someone should be out is cause of a tournament and the only one I know of is cancelled. I think you'd have to be crazy go out a couple small perch arnt worth frostbite, if your are going out then good luck and dress extremely warm

I wanted to go to bear point lakers and whites , haven't done any deep water yet , I do have my floating suit ,balaclava, spud , hut and heater, not to sure if I will need to walk a lot or thickness of the ice lol , I fished there only once last year with a operator and no luck, i have done some readings like some of the members mentioned previously...

Doesn't matter that much to me. I will go tomorrow Saturday early in the morning, and no, I am not looking for perch. I will hit some deep water. Last winter I once went out on Simcoe in a morning when it was -31C. Again, no biggie;-) When I gotta go I gotta go, it's that simple. Temperature is not in the equation.

I am no expert on if fish would become more or less active on such low temp. But then again, the way I see it, if I want to fish, then I go and fish;-)

You might want to check the wind forecast before you leave home.
