Doesn't matter that much to me. I will go tomorrow Saturday early in the morning, and no, I am not looking for perch. I will hit some deep water. Last winter I once went out on Simcoe in a morning when it was -31C. Again, no biggie;-) When I gotta go I gotta go, it's that simple. Temperature is not in the equation.
Brave man, I've wasted enough days in bad weather to know when or when not to go.

Same thing here. Have to work weekdays, so weekends are about the only time...

With temps that low does the bite slow down or all depends on your presentation ? Thanks
I am no expert on if fish would become more or less active on such low temp. But then again, the way I see it, if I want to fish, then I go and fish;-)
You might want to check the wind forecast before you leave home.
Wind gust 44km/h
Might want to check with Metalbuckle and NSFisher about anchoring down a hut in the wind!

Not sure about you guys, wife says I can go tomorrow so I'm going even to sit in the car and stare at the ice. Definitely not Sunday... Vtine day. Monday Family day...
Really admire those that can go anytime.
Work all week and only long weekend during ice fishing season and they have to call it family day. Why not fishing day.
