I'm sure if the owner hasn't pulled it they would rather have someone fish it out and keep it rather than have the ministry salvage it and have recouvery costs and fines assessed.

Crazy. If you decide to go don't bring anyone with you. Hopefully you don't encourage anybody else to make a bad decision that see's you driving out there

Finders keepers???

If someone else is successful in pulling this out, I'd bet the owner would show up all of a sudden after it was retrieved to say "thanks" ha!.

Just around the corner from me - IDIOT.

It's been a couple days since the Trent/Talbot skimmed over. Makes you wonder where their brains are.

Owner is probably waiting for a bit thicker ice to recover, im sure it will keep braking every time he gets it up on the ice.

Maybe it is a stolen machine and if you take it you can be in trouble

Excellent thought. That would be ugly.

Went out of port bolster the hut operator took us out in his jeep on the ice but he stressed he's been doing this for 30+ years and he knows what he was doing had all his trails marked. I wouldn't go out of you don't know what your doing. When he would drive by the hut a good 50 yards away you would here the ice cracking sounded scary but, we knew it was him and if it was dangerous he wouldn't have been doing it so it want bothersome because we knew who it was driving by us. There was about 22 inches of ice where we were fishing. Best part he put us on fish didn't get anything huge. But all nice size got a bunch of keepers between 11- 12. The guys about 150 yards away from us in another hut ran by Randy, go a 16 incher. Randy is great operator and guy when I go back he will be my go too operator. You can tell just talking to him he knows what he's doing. Wanted to tip him but he wouldn't even take our money, and he is the cheapest out there charges 45 for they day and let's you stay out till 6 when most operators pick you up at 4pm.
