Hey everybody, this is my first post on the message board. I have been following this site for quite some time ( typically on the Nipissing board.) A few buddies and I have been making the journey up to the south shore of Lake Nipissing for 6 years now and after some tough ice fishing this year we are planning on touring up in a couple weeks and trying for some legendary Lake Simcoe jumbo perch. By tough fishing I mean 3 eyes, 4 jumbos, and a pike in 4 days between 6 guys! It was pretty rough. However, the beverages were plentiful and that made it a little easier to deal with. I am looking for some input on what the general opinion/consensus is as to whether we should try cook's bay or go further up the lake to a place like Port Bolster? I know that every day is different when it comes to fishing, but any opinions/comments would be greatly appreciated.

If you want Jumbos cooks bay is a good place to start but you have to get too deeper water this time of year. 30FOW you wont find as many but quality over quantity. Later on closer to the end of hard water they usually move back in towards the south send shallower water.
