> Cooks Bay, How far to walk out

Thinking about going fishing Cooks Bay ..at end of hwy 89 ...just looking for perch....how far do you guys thing me and my son needs to walk out there.........I see the huts are far out thxx.....

Depends what are you after quality or quantity. For a young kid a short walk shallow depth with give you tons of small perch action that will keep any kid entertained for hours. If quality your after a long walk out to deeper water will give you a better chance at some jumbos mixed into them small ones.

Just because there are huts doesn't mean they are getting fish. You have to move around and stay away from huts to get the best results..

Ok thxx guys, my son is older ,we don't mind the walk out...hopefuly we get some jumbo,s ....a couple for the frying pan would be nice been a long time eating perch
