Cooks Bay, How far to walk out

Smolt Trout Group: Members Posts: 113 Member No.: 2465 Joined: January 03, 2013	Thinking about going fishing Cooks Bay ..at end of hwy 89 ...just looking for perch....how far do you guys thing me and my son needs to walk out there.........I see the huts are far out thxx.....

World Record Trout Group: Members Posts: 1378 Member No.: 656 Joined: April 23, 2011	Depends what are you after quality or quantity. For a young kid a short walk shallow depth with give you tons of small perch action that will keep any kid entertained for hours. If quality your after a long walk out to deeper water will give you a better chance at some jumbos mixed into them small ones.
