QUOTE (fishmagnet @ Feb 26, 2016 - 01:58 pm)
With all the new people taking up ice fishing and the sport itself we are all going to have this happen one day or another... If you don't like it move or or man up and go say hi.. Some people seem to think they own the lakes they fish on. Lots of room out there and shouldn't be a problem.. How ever when you get the guys who cares more about drinking than fishing and are disruptive to the area then that's time to have a talk with them either shut the $%#@ up or move away from the people enjoying there day.... Just my thinking.... One thing I do know it's going to get worse....
The lakes I fish on up north of Nipissing might have two or three hot ice fishing locations on the lake so of course people are congregating in the same areas but up there we pretty much know everyone out but there are some strangers that come in as long as there not creating a disturbance they are welcome to the neighborhood/ice city!!!!!lol
Why does fishing have to be so stressful... Lolololo..

Very good post, my thoughts exactly.

So i head out yesterday, to see a hut on my honey hole, and i've been fishing here 2 times a week almost all year, so i figure ill give it to him, I walk out past him another 400 feet maybe, pretty far away, to have him and two other huts come set up less than 40 feet away, in an area with only 4 huts,..... least he's off my hole lol

Twice the depth rule would be nice but somewhat rare. It really bugs me when people cant even respect the snowball rule. If i can hit you with a snowball then youre too close.

lol......................

How do you expect "others" to know about the 2X depth / distance rule, the snow ball rule, or just to have common sense about respecting the "rules?"

Taking your ice spot???? I think we expect too much from the once in a while angler, even a semi seasoned angler who simply does not care.
