What in you opinion is the best size perch to keep for eating? Do you have an upper size limit as to what you would keep for the pan? Some fish are not so great eating once they reach a certain size. Thanks for the input.

IMO all perch taste good.smaller less meat but still good eating. I prefer to clean 9"+ but I'll keep 7-9" on slow days. I catch clean and eat. Might freeze some if I get that on fire day, but just gives me the excuse to get out more.i have my wife convinced it is better for me to go out 5 times and keep 10 fish than once for 50

90% of the time, I will only keep fish between 8-11". Any bigger and you are taking the prime spawning females. I did keep a 13.5" only because it was a super slow day. I don't like taking home the beasts because I like letting them go to spawn another day. odd time ill keep 7" but they can get tedious to clean if they aren't fattys.
