If anyone wants to tag along with a pair of us out there today for some Perching, meet us at the launch at 8:45am. Look for the guy in the Blue Salus Jacket/Black Pants/Green Boots.

Would love a report on the ice conditions, thinking of heading out there tomorrow morning on foot. Thanks and good luck!

Tough walking, but if you find trails it's not too bad. Very uneven snow so prepare your sled accordingly.

Thanks for the report! How thick is the ice? Would love to know how you make out today, trying to decide between sibbalds and port bolster. Tight Lines

Ice is between 9-15" depending whether you're on black or white. Fish were almost non existent today. Talked to a few guys out there and they reported the same. Best fish today were 11's.

I didn't find it to bad.......easier than expected. Found some atv trails and combined that with the Smitty and it was OK. Bolster should be fine too.

I will most likely be out there Sunday with my wife who always fishes with me. If you guys want to tag along that's fine. I'll send you details when I know them. If you have any specific questions, just ask. Fyi.....Today I had the pleasure of Elrik to keep me company, or maybe I kept him company!?

Had a great time as always Washout, your company made a slow bite entertaining. Between the hallucinations and our new secret trick of getting a school in to bite, it was quite a hoot! Cheers Elrik Btw, i hallucinated a flock of about 20 turkeys just north of stoufville and a huge flock of 100+ geese on the north end of altona road on the way home. Quite a birdy day!
