DOH!

The day started out with me snapping the cord on my auger. I have tried to recoil it to no success. Even youtube is not helping me.

I am going to try again, but does anyone know where i can get this part?
Is a simple bolt on assembly.

I believe it is a repainted Strikemaster.

Dont really want to buy it sight unseen off the net ...you know.

Is it the one with the 43cc nitro engine I broke my rope when I first started it this year it is a major pain in the balls to do but I got mine together again learned that recoiling the spring is a true test of patience especially when you realize you shouldnt have take it apart just have to turn to line up and get tension then feed rope in

Most small engine shops should be able to repair your recoil quickly. It is a very common repair on out board motors, lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws.

x2. I Have the same auger and my pull rope broke as well a couple years ago. I was able to replace the rope with a higher quality one, but it was a pain in the a## winding that spring back and threading the rope at the same time. It took quite a few attempts to get it right.

Hi Kevin

I think I saw a similar post on another Forum and I think someone said that Royal Distributing had the parts.

You might want to give them a call and check.

I contacted Rapala, they have been very good to me in the past.

I might just go in to Royal, their website is lousy for finding stuff.

Thanks, looks like is not that big a deal to get a new one...phew.

Cause hand augering yesterday was NOT fun....lol

So I got a little annoyed at myself and did some more youtubing and noticed that the shape of my spring was wrong. It had bent over...hard to explain.
It was obvious after seeing all the videos did not have their spring like mine. Got the plyers, reshaped the end and it is now fixed.

Thanks for all the help folks
