Trophy Trout Group: Members Posts: 860 Member No.: 7114 Joined: August 04, 2014	Hey guys, well i decided today was the day to finally get out on simcoe the first time this year for me. Went out from beaverton about 2-3 K on the snowmobiles there was lots of snow and a few big drifts as well. Fished in 30 feet of water and ice was thick! About 20 inches where we were . Ended up catching 20 perch kept 6 of the nicer ones. I also caught my new personal best perch! I was jigging a small spoon on my ultra light rod and BAM big hit drag starts peeling , i call my dad over to get ready to grad it and i was almost certain i had a whitefish on but nope up comes a 13 inch perch my new personal best caught a couple more 12s 11s and 10s and a few 8s kept a few for a meal and left at 4pm overall it was a great day and hopefully be back at it tomorrow!
