So after a great day yesterday i went back to simcoe today. Fished same spot out from Beaverton in about 28 feet deep. Got on the lake at 10 and first fish by 10:30 a nice 14 inch perch my new personal best over the 13 incher i got yesterday! It was a great fight on the tip up and i safely released her. So we got back to fishing and iced a few more good eater 10 inch perch and then it slowed down a bit until 2 when i get a huge hit on my ultra light rod big head shakes all the way up and i pull up a nice 5 pound whitefish! My new personal best! Was pretty surprised to hook up with it in the perch grounds but ill take it! Iced a few more perch and then pulled up a small fish i didnt recognize which turned out to be a smelt , never caught one before cool little fish. Then around 4 we called it a day and headed in . Only bad part is i may have left my go pro camera where i was parked near the ice near floyd hales office in Beaverton. If anyone finds it please let me know. But overall it was another great day on lady simcoe
