Lol. Mitchell is shallow and can be weedy in the summer, but is an awesome make to fish. Simcoe anglers have a very low opinion of it, but it's one of my favorite lakes to fish. Lots of good size pike.....I mean it's a no fish lake full of hammer handles lol
If you fish it make sure you have gear to release big muskie, and know the difference between tigers and pike, because there are lots of them in it.
Sturgeon has no real pike population as far as I know, just canal, Mitchell, balsam, and a few in Cameroon so far

I will be there this Saturday to start my season. Husky jerks and rapala originals work for me in the spring.

Thanks. It was 43"
Then three years later and a couple hundred yards from where I caught that I caught a 46" again fishing solo and nobody on the lake to take a pic, so this is the best one I got. It was windy that day also lol

Had to hold it with my foot, just to keep it on the bench seat. My seats are 16" wide to give some perspective of how fat it was. Also have a nice release video

Are tiger muskies classed as pike or muskies? Can they be taken for the table as pike or do they have to meet the minimum size requirement for musky?
