They're classed as muskies and are subject to whatever size rules are related to the area you're fishing.
I've caught quite a few over the years but never kept any except a 43" that's on my wall. Like pretty much any fish, they're likely delicious if prepared right.

Thanks. You can really see how big the 46" is in the release video. It was really thick, but I had forgotten my soft tape so no girth measurement.

anybody know when the locks close on the lake for good? wondering if its any good to go fishing in the fall but I've heard water level really suffers on this lake in the fall when they close up the locks.

You should be good for another couple weeks at least. Depending on what type of boat you have, we have been there in mid December last year in a 12 footer
