I got a Sienna 2500 as part of the package with my OFAH membership and have been using it constantly with zero problems. It's on par with the Solstice, I believe the difference is the Solstice has sealed bearings for saltwater use and the Sienna doesn't.
Just picked up a Daiwa and another Shimano for only $30 combined! Thanks again Washout, now I have solid backups for everything :-)

Does anyone understand reel sizes 1500, 2500 etc? Is the Sedona 2500 quite a big reel? I googled it and came up with all sorts of comments and ratings but nothing to say how big it is. thx

2500 will hold 140 yrd of 8lbs line.
Note its rear drag, which is a little bit odd but i have one and its great for ice fishing because the drag is easy to adjust without taking off your gloves. The drag knob is all plastic and really makes it feel cheap.

500 is the smallest generally, and 4000 is usually the biggest for everyday reference sake.
2500 is the standard middle of the road size. It holds enough line for summer fishing but for me, it's too big for ice fishing.
Most people like 500-1000 reels for ice fishing.
It all boils down to what type of line you're using because of the spool capacity.
500-1500 ice fishing 1500-2500 Everyday fishing 3000-4000+ Carp, Salmon, etc that need large spools to handle the capacity of heavy line.
Both the Solstice and Sedona 2500's I bought hold 200/6,140/8,120/10 mono.

Anyone know how good the Siennas are?
I Have a few of the Siennas RD, just like the one advertised. They are not small/big. Its a medium size reel. They work great for me with no issues at all. One of them I have owned for 8 years now and finally broke due to MY abuse. (I ran it over with the lawnmower, long story)
The Siennas have been on sale for $25 in store for a while now. Its just wasn't advertised anywhere. I only found out by scanning it for a price check in store 3 weeks ago. The store in Newmarket at that time had 2 on the shelf, and I grabbed them both for my Med action rods.

Always spotting the great deals good job, and yeah 2500 is the average size used by many anglers just like the 100 size baitcast reel. Good for bass walleye and could handle most species

Hey Washout, Walmart just cancelled the balance of my order due to no stock. I lost out on the fly reel and fly line I ordered. I just gave them CHIT and told them they need to have their system provide more real time data. I also noted if situations like this do occur, they should be offering similar items that are valued at least equal to the original value of the item ordered. I paid using pay pal which I rarely use, not sure if the transactions get reversed or I have to initiate getting my credit. Anyone have a similar experience?

Sorry to hear they screwed you around. You did the right thing to give them chit! As for the credit process, I had the same thing happen with Lowe's or Rona on a ceiling fan deal and my PayPal account was credited a few days later.
I would just wait a week or so, and if the funds haven't been credited, then call WM again.
Fwiw......it's not just WM that makes these errors. It's happened to me a few times with different online retailers over the years. I know how pi$$ed off it can leave you feeling.
On a positive note: Sometimes things work out great. I ordered a $100 Alpaca sweater (from a worldwide retailer) for Christmas one year, and it was lost by Canada Post. The retailer promptly sent out another sweater. They put in a claim to Canada Post and all was great.
2 months later my original sweater order shows up at my door! 2 sweaters for the price of 1.

HAHAHA my order is still wrong I was shorted 2-30lb braids, complained they sent me a 20lb. Called them again and again. Last night they called me wanting me to send the entire order back, How do I do that the 20 and 40 are already on reals, I asked why can't you just send me the 2-30lb spools? The hard to understand guy said he will have to get back to me. My saga will continue.

I happens sometime with clearance stuff, online stock and actual stock arent updated properly. usually they just dont charge you until it ships so you dont have to worry about the refund.
