My wife has been telling/bugging me to check the fishing section at the dollar store but I have just been laughing it off but to my surprise they had quite a selection..
I ended up buying five lures just to try them out..
The bigger one on top was only 2 dollars and the smaller ones were 3 dollars... I spent 14 dollars....
Again I was surprised at the selection of lures they did have. Dollarama are the stores with fishing lures.. Do yourselves a favor and check it out... Looked at a rapala lure yesterday and it was 18 dollars.. Could have got nine of the top lure in the pic..... Just throwing it out there...

Yes everyone laughs when you mention dollar store lures. BUT THEY WORK. If you can upgrade hooks it will be worth your effort changing them as hooks on these are soft and bend easily. Very little pain loosing dollar store lure vs 8-10 dollar lure. I now carry full assortment all the time. Each store carries different inventory.Money saved=more brown pop budget

Bought a 15 dollar rapala last year thinking if it slams the fish it would be worth it ..3rd cast something felt different so I reeled it in and to my dismay only half the lure came in. It split right down the middle and I couldn't believe my eyes.. Tryed to return it to the store "sail" where I had bought it 1 month earlier... Manager told me I must have been hitting rocks and that they would not replace or credit me and I should call rapala directly... Well I was not to happy and still haven't got a response back from them ...

They had allot more choices than what I bought, deep runners or shallow runners!!!
I have quite a collection of lures and jigs.. The wife says I have fishing lure addiction
but I just being up how many pairs of shoes she has and this usually quiets her up...lol
The truth is can you really have to many lures or jigs!! Lol

My neighbor uses his wife's red nail polish and paints the lip of the lure with it.. He swears by it!!
So I thought I would try it to see if I get more strikes... I do like the fact of adding red making it look like a bleeding or wounded bait fish. Here's the one I'm painting well the wife's out or she would kill me for using her nail polish!!! Lol

I buy my rubber frogs at dollarama. They work the same and when you lose 1 it's less expensive. Also bought some spinnerbaits. Yet to try them.

Dave.
