Hi guys.
Great posts, I am really enjoying reading them.

Six of us are heading up to celebrate my 40th and staying with 'Ice Bungalows'. It is something that we always wanted to try.
What is the procedure to get out there...meet at the house and get escorted out?
I see that many of you are using a split shot with a minnow. Are spreaders just as good?

was with ice bungalows a few weekends ago meet at there place and they either drive you out or you can drive yourself. Caught a ton of perch and pics. they are a great outfit and there to help you. just ask. use simple hook and minnow just of bottom with a split shot. hopes this helps and post when you return..

Cool, thanks Hawk.
We are chompin' at the bit to get up there.
Did you catch anything other than perch?
Do you know where it was that you drove onto the ice. We have a guy coming out a day late.

You drive on at Wade's Landing marina at the end of nipissing road. Anglers Haven bungalows are sitting about a mile past three pine island just south of the gull islands - probably 5 miles out from the marina in 20-25 fow un less they moved them in the last 2 weeks. Hey roadking - I would suggest trying their day huts. Buddy of mine and the group next to us had good luck there.

Good luck

Thanks alot Jayray.
From what I understand there is a plowed road out to the bungalows. How is the drive on the ice?

The day huts are smaller huts that are set up a mile or two north of the bungalows. If you want they will bring you there for a few hours in the afternoon to try your luck. If action is slow at your bungalow the day huts are worth a try.

There is a marked road out. When we were there the ice was really rough - had thawed and froze a few times. Bumpy ride out!
