last couple weeks have been tough on Balsam, however, once I slowed waaaaay down with a husky jerk I was able to nail a few (this was after hours of trying other presentations! - idiot)

Ripping long slow retrieve then let the jerk bait suspend - rip and repeat! Most caught were 8-9 FOW - rocky, weedlines.

I also had this pig on a slow topwater, which is my PB on Balsam - but that was it! Husky jerk got more.

Hope this helps!

Nice job.. I'm thinking of fishing there Thursday and Friday..
Any one catching walleyes that you know of. It's between there and Quinte.
Probably won't make my mind up till I hit the 404 cut off.. Lol... Both places have their pros and con's

Hit balsam yesterday. Fishing was fair but did not catch what I was after how ever did manage 17 fish. Bass Perch and Pike none really worth a pic.. Did however talk to some bass guys that did well also said they had one eye over the slot..... Grab a map of balsam or maybe you do but it sure will be a big help knowing you can run wide open with not having to worry about shoals or rocks...
All fish caught on jigs and live minnows.. Good luck..
