The locks in town can produce at times along with the river headed both towards sturgeon an scugog

The locks is awesome in the fall if there is water going over if not the canal where the boats come out can produce walleye

Hi catdog,

Congrats to your son for getting in to Fleming, it's a fun school and he'll learn a lot of neat things regardless of what program he's in.

Will he have access to a car while he's there?

If he does I'll be happy to share a couple of my shore spots that have produced well for me over the years.

If he's limited to just fishing in town, the lock is his best bet with some jigs and rapala's in silver and black colour.

Cheers!

Hi catdog, here's a few spots and techniques that have worked for me.

############## -- great for fall walleye on crankbaits and jerkbaits in black and silver starting at about 1 hour before sunset and lasting all night.

############## -- largemouth spot where they like topwaters and soft plastics all day long.

############## -- smallmouth/walleye/perch, nice weedflat here where perch coloured crankbaits and jigs work well. I've also used micro grubs here to catch fish year round.

############## -- great location for springtime sunfish on small tubes and grubs.

There are a lot of other places to go, and if he has car access, Simcoe is just a short drive away for ice fishing and spring perching as always.

Hope this helps as a step in the right direction.

Cheers, Attila

Not that I have ever but is That an actual rule for the forum or just common etiquette?

At any given time we have high numbers of lurkers just looking for locations. If good locations are made public, they'll be hammered. Hammered hard and they'll be fished out in a heartbeat. So, ya, it's a good rule.

Yep I agree. Half the fun is finding your own spots that don't see as much traffic.

That's cool, thanks for making me aware.
