First Follow, Report

My son and I fished Sturgeon again today ,first weed edge we had several follows from bass and one Muskie . We were at the Hawker bay end . My son boated one small Muskie 32" . At 4:30 I promised a teacher I would take him out for his first Muskie , he is a fisherman who has caught Bass , Walleyes and Pike but not a Muskie yet . We ran to the ramp at Longbeach picked him up by now the wind is picking up and we have a little. Chop . We saved one of our best weed edges for him , I gave him a firetiger double 8 spinner to try my son on the trolling motor also was fishing a double 8 I was in the middle fishing the deep edge with a bulldog . My son had 2 follows then from the back of the boat I hear theres a Big one and the teacher stop reeling a rookie mistake . I told him to cast out again where he last saw the fish and the muskie follwed to the boat again , he tried a figure 8 but he needs a little practice . Now its my turn I had one grab my bulldog have it on for about 10 seconds it opens it mouth and outcomes my lure from the front of the boat I hear don't you have any hooks on that lure . I think I'll make him walk back to Pa . About 200 yards further my son boats a fat 36"er . We have time for one more spot we run to where my son had the 40"er hooked the night before . My son boats a small 30"er . Best part of the night I made a new friend .James I hope you had fun and learn a little about muskie fishing .

Great Report. Sounds like your onto the fish and having fun as always. I'll be up at cottage this weekend (balsam) and may give it a try. What is the double 8? (2 blades) I was going to maybe slide over to sail store and buy one. PM me if you want. I'm on grand island maybe you can point me in the right direction.
