We fished Sturgeon yesterday 2 boats 1Canadian 1 USA guy to a boat this is our annual Can - Am we fish every year . We boated 7 muskies and saw 3 others the score ended up 5 USA. 2 Canada my son carried the US team he boated all 5 he said next year he wants a newpartner since I didn't help the team .How soon they forget where they learned how to fish for Muskies lol . The weather was cloudy and we had winds up to 10 mph water surface temps were 63 . Fish were caught on several different lures but the double 8 spinners worked the best the double 10's didn't do any thing . Nothing big a39" er and a couple at 37" but a fun day .I want to thank Kitch and Kirk for buying the US team lunch better luck next year guys lol . Fishing Lady B the next couple days maybe my son will let me catch one

Hank, it was a great day on the water fishing with everyone, even in defeat Canada maintained its honour and dignity. As has been said, it was great to see Team USA win for once without breaking the rules. I think when that happens we are all winners!
And no, none of us have forgotten who taught us so much and helped us shorten our learning curves with these wonderful fish. But part of what we learned was to keep ribbing the other guy, just to keep it fun.
Now that the tournament is over and the veneer of nationalism can be put aside, I do hope there is are 50" muskies for both you guys on Balsam! You guys have helped so many you deserve your trophies more than most!
