Hey Fellas,
I'm having issues with my Elite 7 unit. Last week I was out fishing and noticed my screen just froze on on my. I had it on split screen (Chart/Sonar) and my chart was not picking up the lake etc. I then tried turning it back on and off and once it came on, it was froze again on the Lowarance Elite screen. I tried powering it off but it wouldn't even shut off for me. ????
When I got home I even tried to reboot it by pressing in the -+ buttons but that didn't work either.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issues with their Lowarance..??? I'm hoping someone has an answer for me or else it's a trip down to Radio World I guess!!!
Also, I found that 2 off my brass prong connectors (males) have come out of my cable plug and are stuck inside my unit. Amazingly enough, the unit still seems to work ??? I was wondering if someone has also had this problem and a solution for this issue..?? Where would I take it to get fixed ??
Thanks LUCKY
You think by now they would have a better connection for these electronics.

Try taking your map card out and see if it works. Mine would freeze up only when a sd card was in it. Ended up just buying a new unit and using the old one for sonar only.

My elite7 has not yet froze but it will decide to suddenly shut off. Comes back on a push of the button, and I will lose sonar sometimes at full throttle, otherwise I like it. I mainly use the downscan and gps.

contact Lowrance. if it doesn't work with card then you won't be able to do a software update. Mine was out of date so I bought a new unit. Sucks having to manually transfer waypoints to new unit.
products@lowrance.com they are very responsive also will tell you if it can be repaired or still has warrenty
