Just curious as to what size, brand/type of line you find works best for ice fishing? So many options out there and Nip has a diverse range of sizes and strikes when it comes to fish so I was just wondering if some of the fishing gurus on here can weigh in on what they prefer and have had success with. What size test works best? Thanks again guys, best of luck out there!

I don't think their is a "bet" line per se.
There are multiple choices , that's for sure.
I prefer different combinations.
Example, on my ultra lite rod/reel setups......anything from 6-10 pound mono works well as well as 12 pound braid with a flouro leader.........but the water is not clear on Nip., so merits of a flouro leader are debatable.
My braid lines are finns smooth cast, which do not make that grinding noise when reeling in.
For pike setups, I prefer somewhat heavier with 12 pound being my all around favourite.mono with a quick strike rig.
In my opinion , you need not go any heavier for any size fish up there as long as you have a quality reel/drag system.
