mcgregor do you do anything productive for this forum or just bounce around asking people to go out for you and check the ice.
Do you do anything but insult others? Your last 2 posts have done nothing but that.
Yeah most people come here looking for information and there's nothing wrong with that. It's not like he has 100's of posts or anything. Has anybody ever became a member because they wanted to give people advice? I like giving people tips but I originally became a member to get some advice.
I really like that outlook . Experienced anglers don't become experienced by themselves. The goal of these forums for me is to learn as much as I can about fishing, tips, tricks, gear, etc. Once I become more comfortable with all of these things then I can offer advice to new anglers looking for the same thing I was!! Good on you! No need for all the negativity and trolling.

no huts on pigeon yet i'm going to walk out with a pop up and try to catch some blue gills this weekend tho...
I think I may make the trip up to pigeon this weekend with the pop up for some pans. Where is the ice the thickest. Not trying to ask for your honey hole just a general area if you don't mind. PM me if needed

Hi cjrSportsman I'm sorry I upset you by my post . I thought that this post would be a valuable asset for other fisherman as well. My real hopes were that unexperienced anglers would have a place to read about wether the ice is safe, so hopefully there are no more accidents on early ice this year.

Thanks, Mcgregor
You did nothing wrong, the other guys just being a troll, and looking at his previous posts show that's all he does. Don't sweat his opinion lol

first try at quoting on here lol, if it is a trip for you I wouldn't waste the time. I live on Chemong and we had no where near the ice thickness being quoted. With the warm weather I highly doubt it will be safe. Not real deep in front of my house and we barely had 4 inches of crappy white ice. Just my 2 cents, but I would hate to see you drive only to be disappointed with ice conditions and/or go for a swim. Stay safe out there fellas.

Thank you I appreciate it. I am only coming from Durham so its only 45 min-1 hr but I definitely do not want to make that drive to just play in the snow on shore aha
But thanks again for the update. Saves me calling bait-shops Saturday morning asking if there's any brave souls out on the ice.
