Hi Folks:

As promised please find attached the photos I took of the lake/ice conditions I observed on Wednesday in the Island Grove area.

Photo 1 - this picture was taken at the public dock at the end of Woodbine Ave. showing the eastern point of Snake Island and looking toward Beaverton and Georgina Island. The lake is dead calm and open water except for the small strip of broken ice floating 50-100 feet off shore.

Zoomed in on the broken ice floating in the middle of the channel.

My last picture - which clearly shows the current state of the lake/ice conditions in the Island Grove area on December 21, 2016. Please note - the weather was very mild with little or no wind on December 22, 2016 and I seriously doubt the conditions have changed since I took the attached pictures.

I doubt anyone will be out ice fishing over the Xmas holidays but I am certain the ice will be safe to cross in the near future.

In the meantime enjoy the holidays with family and friends.

Extending season greetings to members of this message board for a happy and safe holiday.

P.S. - Sorry for the delay in posting the photos but my assistant was busy and I honestly don't know how to transfer photos from my camera to the message board.

That's all for now, Nancy
