Got out on scugog today for the afternoon/evening bite. Ice thickness was 6 inches 1 inch white and 5 inches of good black ice, saw a few other huts out and lots of snowmobiles buzzing around. Started off catching a few dink perch as usual, then as it started to get dark my dad yells I got something big over here! So I run over and to both our surprises up comes a 19 inch walleye! Nice to see and a bit unexpected we quickly released it I didn't take a pic because we wanted to get it back down ASAP but I took I video of the release I'll take a screen shot of the release and post it here. Anyways after that we got into some crappie the target species, nothing big but a few 9-10 inchers on light gear was fun. It was a good few hours of fishing, but warm weather in the for cast tomorrow means I probably won't be back out till the weekend

You ms have got out around when i was leaving. Had a dinner party to go to, so had to leave around 2:30. Up until the clouds moved in just before two couldn't even find the dink perch, the waters were just a wasteland. I knew that after the dinks got active the crappie would be moving in to, but couldn't stick around for it. Oh well got to try plenty of run n gunning with my new flip over and got it its first slime (even if it was dink slime). Hopefully can get out for a better window next weekend.

You definately seem to be attracting the walleye this season fb, good on you!
