slab grabbers, size and color

Hi I was planning on buying some slab grabbers I have never used them before and was wondering on which size and color would work best,and if there are any other lures that produce as well I have jigging rapalas I have used before.

Assuming your target species is perch, I would also recommend small Blue fox spoons and VMC tungsten jig heads (pug bug etc.) with a triggerX plastic (mustache worm, goby bug etc.)

I think there is only 1 size or I may just not notice the others size as I zoom into what I know. The only choice of colour is the beed on the hook. White, green, orange, red, blue, yellow... they all work. Tip it with a minnow head or perch eye if you keep fish to eat.

fish4dinner, ive only seen one size as well. I found this one place in Mississauga, where he was selling slab grabbers for $2.50 so naturally I bought 10 haha. with regards to colour. anything works. If you are on simcoe or couchiching and you don't have fish flaring up your fish finder or flasher within 30 seconds, change colour. I usually use 4 rods when I fish. one with the gold spoon red bead, another with the gold spoon white bead, and the other two with the silver spoon and switch every couple fish as I find once you catch 2-3 with a certain artificial bait they lose interest in it. so I drop one down, if I don't get a bite in 30 seconds, drop a different colour, wait, if I don't get a bit, switch to silver spoon. if I don't get a bite, move 30 feet and drill couple more holes.

those are my best tactics. always moving and switching baits till I find em. just change change change till you zero in on colour and or technique

There are 2 sizes.

two sizes and two shapes.

one has a flat top and the other is angled off.

My favorite and best is the 2" round with small 6mm red bead. Silver (chrome) in the deep water (30ft) if in shallow I use the 1 1/4 slivers.

I also do well with the 3" simcoe slayers.

there are also some with all gold, all silver and seen some with gold on one side and silver on the other.

there are 2 sizes and 2 shapes.Get a couple of each in the gold and silver colours and different bead colours.The perch will tell you what they want on that day.Good luck Alan

I think you should buy one of each and try them all. Then send me a couple of the ones that work ....I love spending other peoples money, so buy them all

I bought the 2' size so hopefully that will work
